Hello,

I would like to discuss with you a potential partnership between TechnologyProfessionals and CDM Media. My company hosts a number of CIO Summits throughout the year. The complete list can be found here: www.ciosummits.com. In addition to a standard logo swap, there are several other options we can discuss.

Thanks,
Kelly

Phil,
Interesting post. Agree that software reuse will not happen by accident and needs careful orchestration of people, process, and tools. Your point about leveraging reuse opportunities across the development lifecycle is very valid as well. Many teams miss reuse opportunities because of inadequate communication about reusable assets as well as a lack of appropriate incentives around reuse. Teams need to be rewarded for both contributing to and leveraging reusable assets. Also some developers have difficulty distinguishing code reuse from systematic reuse. Finally, there is a need for pursuing reuse in conjunction with business objectives (not simply a technology goal in itself).

Interesting idea. I think a CXO who is bogged down with all those issues described in the article, probably could care less with the idea of blogging.

My point is not really about blogging, but with this type of executive, who lacks the appropriate leadership & communication skills. They have fought, kicked and to a point back-stabbed their way to the top. They are not about to open up to their subordinates.

Through my career and advance degree education I've studied several CXOs who lack these skills. They would more than likely see a blog as another threat to their being!

Storage Virtualization is indeed the fad nowadays because it’s an efficient and effortless way to organize products and files. It used to be impossible a few years back but companies had learned to utilize it and produced benefits that were kind of impossible in the past. The wonders of technology at its best indeed!

I highly agree with this perception. It’s a trial and error thing when it comes to attracting customers and one doesn’t need to be a graphic guru just to profit higher from a website. You can create multiple source of income if you had some tactics and strategies in social media sites in order to drive traffic to your website.

Wow! This is indeed good news to all struggling entrepreneurs and even students who are planning on a career after graduation. Application for the program is simple and looks promising too. I better disseminate this information to my friends so that they can take advantage of this opportunity of a lifetime. Also I would like to find out if our company can qualify for BizSpark and how we can go about applying for these free software. Thanks Brian!

In software test mechanization reuse of code is crucial, which means that planning, design and a good understanding of where reuse will and will not work are the keys to making reuse work. A main point that the article focuses on is scope; if you were to look at application development with rationalization regarding reuse, you will undoubtedly discover that there are parts that are clearly unique to given parts of the application.

I have been involved in an investment vehicle that Warren Buffet has used in the past and it is independent of the stock market fluctuations. Until the past 5 years, it has only been available to the big players - but a very reputable company figured out a way to do it for the "little guy". I'd be happy to share this info with anyone.

I like the real life examples you give here to emphasize your points. Indeed sometimes we put in band aids that may shock others, but then it runs our world.
